The German Embassy in Warsaw and the City of Warsaw, together with German and Polish partners, revitalized a green area in Skaryszewski Ignacy Jan Paderewski Park in Warsaw on the initiative of German diplomat Fried Nielsen.
Established in 2016, the German-Polish Gardens are located between the northern shore of the Kamionek oxbow lake and Emil Wedel Avenue in the Praga-South district of Warsaw. By integrating the garden cultures of Germany and Poland, the gardens have become a symbol of German-Polish friendship and a permanent feature of Warsaw's park landscape.
